DESIGNED FOR HOSPITALITY, KNOCK DOWN FITTED

From the start I was given responsibility, involving myself in the design of their next product range that had been in the pipeline for a while.

This would be known as the guest range and would feature a wardrobe, bed, bedside table and tall boy style draws.

All products would be knock down fitting to save space in shipping. They had suppliers from all around the world but mainly used Indonesia  and China for a large amount of Oak products.

It was a great experience working with manufacturers, especially conveying which parts of the design would be fitted by the factory and the rest by the end customer.

Shortly after I was tasked to redesign the "Pablo" chair that hadn't sold well. I felt that it was too long so it cut into your knees, and all round felt oversized. I found this particular chair hadn't stood out from the rest of their range and was asked to change that.

ORGANIC CURVES

Taking inspiration from their most popular chair called the shoreditch I felt a smaller armchair suited the range better. The main difference was the Pablo was more reclined and had more of an organic feel. This was helped by a steam bent arms that would follow the curve of your arm.
